Shannon M. West was born in Canton, Ohio, in 1982, and received her BFA in Painting & Printmaking from Kent State University, in 2007, in Kent, Ohio. Her divine feministic views of intuition, empathy, nurturing nature is shown through her creations. She uses natural elements within her work to express her deep love of the Earth and the properties it has to offer, making is her passion.

Shannon’s work is featured in many solo shows such as Movement in 2019, and Alchemy in 2018 at the Conneaut Arts Center, and in group exhibitions at 934 Gallery in Columbus in the shows Underwater (2018) and Eat Me (2019). Shannon was chosen for 40 Under 40 by juror Jose Ruiz in January 2020, as well as curating up and coming Exhibitions, Inside & Out, and Failure I & II at 400 West Rich, The Vanderelli Room, and the Idea Foundry.

She is currently earning her MFA from the Columbus College of Art & Design, in Columbus, Ohio. Shannon Lives in London, Ohio, works and interns in Columbus, Ohio, surrounded by creatives.
